With Sincere Apologies- by paradoxal With Sincere Apologies- by paradoxal
..to Roald Dahl, Butch Hartman, and Johnny Depp.. and to all you guys for posting something this crappy as the first thing I've drawn in almost a month. ^^; Extra apologies to you guys who have now gotten to see this thing twice.

To all you guys, I'm very, very sorry. Seriously, the happiest day of my life will be if I find out Mr. Hartman has seen this and decided not to prosecute me. (Heck, any contact at all would make me giddy as anything :XD: )

Um.. so anyway, I was telling ~Obi-quiet the other day about the contest Hershey's was having. You find an ORANGE ticket, get to go to Hershey Park, and meet Butch Hartman. Er.. sound familiar yet, guys? *hums Wonka's Welcome Song* So, there you have it, total and complete prosecutable insanity. Oh my gosh... ^^; So I did this little doodle of Butch as Willy Wonka, myself looking rightfully embarrassed, and then I felt compelled to up the ante by throwing in some of Butch's own characters co-starring as Oompa-Loompas- singing a warped version of a song the oompa-loompas didn't even sing in the (totally awesome) new version of the film starring Johnny Depp.

Folks.. once again, I'm REALLY sorry for subjecting you to this mess.

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka & Oompa Loompas Roald Dahl (who never liked the Gene Wilder film version of his book)
Danny Phantom, Cosmo & Wanda, Timmy, Sanderson the pixie, and I guess Butch himself (circa Nick Mag's most recent FOP-centric issue) are all Butch Hartman.

Shoot.. I hate that. Weird that they'd cancel a show that is getting imitators.

Yeah, there are several shows that came out afterward or are coming out soon that have a similar "supposedly average kid battles otherworldly/supernatural creatures" themes. Juniper Lee, Ben 10, and Monster Allergy to name a few. I could probably think of more if I wasn't operating on about four hours of sleep.

Preteen kid with superpowers juggles real life and fighting creatures must be a popular show idea right now. ^^;

ben 10 isn't an imiator it came out about the same time as danny phantom. also if anything don't forget teen titans. that came out 3 years before danny phantom and still is on today.

A bit after, I think. Okay, maybe I should have said the show is targeting a popular demographic that is currently being played to by several similar themed shows? Whatever.

good point but if ya want ta go that way danny phantom is in a way a spin off of the old superboy and batman and robin comic books with the fantastic 4 and spiderman elements thrown in. done in a totally different manner then them all but still being inspired by them
